Bath (It's that time of the year, part 3)

Ho, ho, ho!

Last post about Christmas today. I will be gone for two weeks, heading back to Switzerland for holidays, no internet connexion where I am going, so next post will be next year (only for Apocalypse's survivors).

Last November, I went to Bath for an early Christmas week-end. So now I wanted to share this cute city and its surroundings with you!
It is nice to get out of the city once in a while, have a quiet week-end in the countryside, far from the London constant buzzing. Discovering other places in this big European Island is very interesting! I hope I'll go to New Castle and Edinburgh very soon!

But let's talk about Bath! After forgetting the train tickets at home and having the run of my life, I finally managed to get in the train. Only 2 hours after we arrived to this cute city called Bath. Next morning, before hanging out in Bath we had a guided tour of its surroundings.

Starting with the beautiful Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa (one of the incredible Relais&Château in UK).
Relais&Château is a label which guaranties an excellent quality for hotels and restaurants. Lucknam Park is no exception to that. The place looks fantastic, in the middle of nowhere offering calm and serenity. The Spa in luxurious and welcoming. The many restaurants have incredible menus. And the hotel itself is warm and cosy. You just don't want to leave. Sitting next to the fireplace enjoying a good book in one of the comfortable armchair is a delight.
This place is perfect for a lovely week-end getaway with your half. So guys, if you want to impress your girlfriend and are still looking for a nice Christmas gift, a week-end at Lucknam park will do the trick!

After visiting Lucknam Park we headed to Lacock, a charming little town with its old church and stone buildings, little river and cute tearooms. Have a peek on these pictures:

Finally we visited Bath. Bath is a historical city famous for its thermal bath (surprising, isn't it?) in a beatiful building. The city is really cute with small houses, big gardens and lots of restaurants, pubs and shops. Perfect for hanging around.
You will definitely have to see the Royal Crescent and The Circus.
To see the famous baths, you can go through the restaurant called The Pump Room and see it by the large windows.
Enjoy a nice shopping afternoon, Bath has the trendiest shops!

Merry Christmas!
